Fachbuch aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Gesundheit - Sonstiges, Note: 1,3, Hochschule Deggendorf (Health Care Management), Veranstaltung: Informations- und Prozessmanagement, Qualitätsmanagement, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das seit 2004 in den Krankenhäusern angewendete Abrechnungssystem "Diagnosis Realted Groups" (DRG), das eine effizientere und wirtschaftliche Medizin - im Sinne von betriebswirtschaftlich orientierten Behandlungen, Operationen und Pflegeleistungen - zur Folge haben sollte, war u.a. die eigentliche Ursache für eine starke Verweildauerreduktion in den stationären Einrichtungen (Krankenhäusern). Die ersten Erfahrungen zeigen auf, dass im Hinblick auf notwendige, auch neue Qualitätsstandards von Seiten des Gesetzgebers und der Kostenträger gehandelt werden musste. Um einer suboptimalen, medizinischen Behandlung, die sich letztlich nur auf die "Rechenbarkeit" von medizinischen Leistungen reduzierte, vorzubeugen, musste das Qualitätsmanagement mit seinen Aufgabenschwerpunkten der Qualitätssicherung, des Risikomanagements und des Beschwerdemanagements mehr gesetzliches und ethisches Gewicht gegeben werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es wichtig, eine Fehlerkultur in den Gesundheitseinrichtungen zu entwickeln - die auch eine Sicherheitskultur bedeutet - und somit etwaigen Risiken, welche durch allzu wirtschaftliches, aber menschengefährdendes Handeln auftreten, vorbeugt. Daneben wird der Effekt erzielt, hohe Qualitäts-standards bei gleichzeitig hohem wirtschaftlichen Niveau zu entwickeln und/ oder zu erhalten. Die Qualitätssicherung - als eher "technisch" ausgerichtete Disziplin des Qualitätsmanagements - steht in der vorliegenden Arbeit nicht in der Diskussion, wobei damit nicht bedeutet werden soll, dass sie in der Wichtigkeit nicht denselben Rang wie das Risikomanagement oder das Beschwerdemanagement hätte.
