Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Geschichte der Pädagogik, Note: bestanden, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Veranstaltung: Videobasierte Unterrichtsforschung: Explorationen zum Classroom Management, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Unterrichtssituationen zeichnen sich durch eine enorme Komplexität und permanente Interaktionen zwischen Lehrenden und Lernenden aus (zu den Dimensionen des Klassenraumes vgl. Doyle 2006: 98f). Die Rekonstruktion des Unterrichtsablaufs aus den Lehrer-Schüler-Interaktionen ist daher aus wissenschaftlicher Sicht eine Herausforderung. Zudem benötigen Lehrende ein Feedback zu ihrer Unterrichtsqualität, und auch für die Motivation der Lernenden ist es wichtig zu wissen, welchen Anteil sie an der Unterrichtsgestaltung haben. Welche Methoden zur Beobachtung des Unterrichtsgeschehens im Klassenraum gibt es also, und welche Kriterien sollten sie erfüllen? Diesen Fragen wird in der vorliegenden Hausarbeit anhand eines Vergleiches zwischen der Methode der mikroethnographischen Videographie und der Methode der pädagogischen Tatsachenforschung nach Else Müller-Petersen nachgegangen. Die Methode der mikroethnographischen Videographie nutzt ein modernes technisches Medium. Dieses wird kontrastiert mit der Pädagogischen Tatsachenforschung, die zu einer Zeit entstanden ist, in der es bereits das Bestreben gab, Unterricht zu evaluieren, aber die technischen Möglichkeiten der Videoaufzeichnung noch nicht existierten. Ergänzt wird dies durch die Darstellung der Rolle Peter Petersens zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus, da dessen Kollaboration die Fortführung der Studie zur pädagogischen Tatsachenforschung überhaupt ermöglichte. Dabei entfernte sich Petersen von seinem ursprünglichem Ziel der Verbesserung der Unterrichtsqualität und begann, Schüler zu selektieren und damit zu diskriminieren. Durch die Gegenüberstellung der Vor- und Nachteile beider Methoden kann ein Fazit gezogen werden, welche Methode für welchen
