Cuando leí este libro me imaginé en la pepa de sol, soportando los comentarios de la gente, las cabezas moviéndose como suricatos pendientes de la mujer que llegó preguntando cuál era la punta de la cola, una excusa que le sigue a colearse descaradamente, y los insultos para quien dejó colearse a la muy care´tabla que ahora se instala con un deje de orgullo por haberse salido con la suya. Pero un momento, no crean que este es un libro con el que van a pasar arrechera, no señor, o señora, o señorita, este es un libro bien escrito, lo hizo una persona que sabe lo que hace cuando de crear historias se trata. Se ha metido en la poesía donde ha inmortalizado hermosos versos, ha escrito cuentos muy buenos que le han merecido unos cuantos premios, tanto en literatura para adultos como para niños. Ahora se mete en algo que ella siente, porque es una mujer que regresando de su trabajo o dirigiéndose a él, no puede evitar asomarse a la ventana del bus y ver esas colas en las cuales se aprecia lo sabrosa que es la gente para intentar salirse con la suya. Es la eterna historia del vivo bobo, como le llaman. Como puede imaginarse, estos cuentos no son necesariamente simples vivencias del ir y venir de una puta cola a otra, sino que son más bien varias historias entrelazadas en la puta cola que la gente vive a diario. Así tenemos, por ejemplo, a la mujer que pasa trabajo para conseguir sus víveres mientras en la casa el típico marido -que me imagino con una barriga cervecera- le arma su peo porque no hay café o harina, o azúcar. Pero no es sólo que la mujer se va a pasar roncha a una cola, es más bien la transformación psíquica de la mujer, en medio de una emoción que nos toca, porque todos sabemos que es bien jodido ser mujer en Venezuela o en cualquier país de nuestra América. En "Puta Cola" también nos encontraremos, por ejemplo, con un amor de liceo que se topa con la viveza de un hembrón. Vemos aquí entonces la inocencia no tan inocente del liceísta calenturiento, junto a ese otro cuento que nos relata los acontecimientos de un amor de oficina con la cola como telón de fondo, o el cuento hermoso de un hada que no podía tener hijos y vino a la tierra por uno. En este último relato la autora adornó poéticamente un hecho tan intenso, transformándolo en una historia mágica pero realista. También nos toparemos aquí con el típico coleón, con la bachaquera de bodega, y hasta con la que no hace cola porque primero muerta que bañada en sangre. Todas estas narraciones nos van haciendo recordar las actitudes que puede llegar a adoptar un grupo humano, cuando no tiene algo tan fundamental como lo puede llegar a ser un paquete de papel "tualé". Este libro puede que nos haga reflexionar, aunque no está escrito para eso, sino que es más bien una catarsis, un rato ameno, o es más un libro que como dice la dedicatoria, usted mismo pueda llegar a leerlo mientras hace una cola. Entonces, pues, léalo, ríase un rato con él, o arrechese, busque identificarse con alguno de los personajes y despreocúpese por la señora que veinte personas más adelante se está coleando, porque total, la vida es una sola, y para irnos no tenemos que hacer cola, porque la puta muerte es lo único que no escasea nunca.
