Dieses Beschäftigungsverhältnis unterliegt seit geraumer Zeit einem stetigen Wandel, da sich Arbeitsstrukturen und Erwartungen von Arbeitnehmern und Arbeitgebern geändert haben. So entwickeln sich mit zunehmender Technisierung und dem damit einhergehenden sektoralen Wandel neuartige Bedingungen für Arbeitnehmer und Arbeitgeber. Neben neuen Anforderungsprofilen für Beschäftigte, dem Einfluss von Gewerkschaften und psychologischen Erkenntnissen zur Erwerbsarbeit, ist es auch die moderne wohlfahrtsstaatliche Regulierung von Arbeit, die einen starken Einfluss staatlicher bzw. öffentlicher Normen und Regeln auf Menschen im Erwerbsleben hat. Die Bedeutung des sozialen Austausches zwischen Arbeitnehmer und Arbeitgeber bringt das Konzept des Psychologischen Vertrages als informellen Bestandteil einer jeden Beschäftigungsbeziehung hervor. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit soll zunächst der Wandel des Arbeitsprozesses und die damit einhergehenden verschiedenen Prinzipien von Erwerbsarbeit angeführt und erläutert werden. Da es im Rahmen einer Erwerbsarbeit für das Arbeitsverhältnis nicht nur auf den Psychologischen Vertrag, sondern auch auf den juristischen Arbeitsvertrag ankommt, soll dieser näher betrachtet werden. Im weiteren Verlauf wird dann der Psychologische Vertrag dargestellt. Dabei ist es von Bedeutung, welche unterschiedlichen Entscheidungsspielräume mit der einzelnen Tätigkeit im Arbeitsprozess verbunden sind, sodass ein unterschiedlicher Grad an Autonomie gegeben ist.
