About the Book

Follow a "nobody" of the cosmic flux through Joseph Campbell's "hero's journey," propelled by the unconscious embodiment of a disastrous, left-brained, materialist mindset. Material estrangement from the natural reflects in the "Mystery's Mirror" (the cosmos, reality) to begin the domino effect that leads this traveler astray and to inevitable destruction via heartbreak. Heeding the "Call to Adventure," ensuing reconstitution of the self fuels the exploration as to the "why" of such a calamity. Such a process brings this "nobody" to a more comprehensive understanding of that which "is." Replete with illuminations from the divine feminine dimension of the planet's plant and fungal teachers, a naturalistic ever-shifting philosophy emerges combining the "immediacy of direct psychedelic experience" (Terence McKenna), Buddhism, Hinduism, and Natural Law mechanics via Hermeticism. What is existence? What is consciousness? What is happening outside culturally partitioned values and the material five-sense world? From the perspective of a reporting "tabula rasa explorer," the search is for that which "is," that which we "are" (humanity), and "where to go from there" via active voyage to shamanic digital dimensions beyond language. As we are all imbued with the ethereal flowing elixir of consciousness, it "checks out" to "check it out." Join this cosmic "traveling nobody" (aka John M. Folak) through his awakening from egoic material slumber to conscious cell of the Infinite Universal Organism.
About the Author: Just a "true nobody" explorer of the human condition, I rose through the ranks of materialism while gathering federal aviation pilot certificates to reach the "top pilot certificate," only to realize that it was an empty house/pursuit. I am just one angle of the cosmic perception trying to unveil some level of truth via "direct experience." For, what else are we doing here but trying to uncover truth? I suppose, I am a sort of "blank slate or everyman explorer," and the "hero's journey" of this character is a representation of "the story." There only seems to be one story told in an infinite variety, and we all are the authors writing it. What led me to heartbreak and disaster are common symptoms of the "cultural sickness" plaguing many of life's explorers. I can almost guarantee that some elements of "truth cultivation" or recognition in this story will pertain to you and your "hero's journey." For again, there is only one story, and we are the cosmic actors playing our "roles"! I have spent the last four years studying: shamanism and the planet's natural medicines/plant teachers/psychedelic organics, specifically psilocybin (the mushroom), and DMT (ayahuasca); Hindu and Buddhist philosophy; Taoism; Hermeticism and Natural Law; Joseph Campbell's "hero's journey"; and the esoteric origin of Christianity. Through this time, I have worked directly with the psychedelic organics through all stages of their life, including "heroic integration." Through this process, I have conscientiously sought to understand what these organic intellects can offer the inquisitive human explorer, how they can help, how they can heal, and how they can illuminate some form of primordial understanding. I have spent the last year and a quarter and 1,500 hours formulating my story into Joseph Campbell's "hero's journey" to share the lessons absorbed from the plant and fungal dimensions with "the others," the other people who have sought direct knowledge from Mother Nature herself. In the way Robert M. Pirsig would speak of "quality," I have done my absolute best to cultivate, sculpt, and imbue this book with "quality" for the sake of sharing what I discovered about the nature of reality (the psychedelic love message) in an entertaining, interesting, and honest manner to connect with "the others." The book is my sole part as a mere cell in the Infinite Universal Organism. Hopefully, it unites us "others." Have a look my friends, and see if you have found similar truths!
