About the Book

Since the first issue was released on 10 April 2011, Schlock! Webzine has consistently featured some of the best science fiction, fantasy and horror stories on the internet. Editor Gavin Chappell has since accrued a motley collection of writers and artists, all determined to make Schlock! Webzine a force to be reckoned with. And now, we present you with the best stories hailing from the first volume of Schlock! Webzine. Inside you will find monsters and killers, saviours and saints. You will see visions of the future and depictions of the past, alternate realities and alternate personae. The birth of a genre... and the future of several more. This... is PSEUDONOMICON.
About the Author: Gavin Roach is a writer and artist, whose graphic work can be seen at http: //gjroach.daportfolio.com/. He is currently working on a film adaptation of A Caged Gryphon. Gavin Chappell is editor of Schlock! Webzine. He is also author of works on local history and the translator of several Icelandic sagas. James Talbot is the author of fantasy horror novels The Dark Place and The Vixen's Den. His work can be seen on Schlock! and at http: //www.wix.com/daiichi/the-dark-place Todd Nelsen is an avid fan of metal music and horror films. He currently lives in Denver, Colorado, where he reads, writes, and is constantly fantasizing. C Priest Brumley is a bipedal humanoid with a High School Diploma and an iron (Okay, tin... Screw it, soft butter) will. He has no formal training and/or education in writing OR graphic design, yet he does both to an obsessive degree and has done so for years. Thomas C Hewitt is so middle class that he becomes invisible when stood next to cardigans. He works full time in a cardigan factory. Obsidian M Tesla is but a shadow, a verso of another's mind...a psychic imprint from an era long-gone, who seeks expression in this modern world through the medium of the printed word. The genre of fiction is his ouija board and the hands of another are his own planchette... Tommy Chewat is the love child of Peter Duncan and Esther Rantzen. His conception occurred on an episode of Duncan Dares that the BBC deemed, "unsuitable for human eyes." Duncan furiously denied paternity of the child, as did Rantzen who refused to acknowledge even that she was in labour with him. After birth, he was flushed into the sewers with the afterbirth and washed up on the coast of North Wales. Raised by a family of sheep, he grew up malnourished, maladjusted, barely able to function and unable to tell his family apart from other sheep. He used these traits to gain acceptance to study Literature at degree level. David Christopher is a metafictional construct.
