Ob es die Angst vor Spinnen, die Angst vor der Dunkelheit oder die Angst um den Arbeitsplatz ist, immer wieder begegnet sie uns in unserem Alltag. Nicht anders ist es damit in der Schule. Schüler fürchten sich vor ihren Mitschülern, ihren Lehrern und insbesondere vor schriftlichen oder mündlichen Prüfungen und den mit ihnen verbundenen Noten. Im Allgemeinen erleichtert Angst "durch Bereitstel-lung von Energie, Situationen zu bewältigen, in denen man sich nicht oder noch nicht sicher fühlt - sei es wegen drohender Gefahren oder weil es an den erforderlichen Kompetenzen mangelt" (Litzcke 2003, S. 2). Doch gelingt dies nicht immer, sodass einen die Angst, dem Sprichwort folgend, regelrecht lähmen kann - körperlich, aber auch geistig. Gerade im Zusammenhang mit Prüfungen verhindert die sogenannte Prüfungsangst, dass der Prüfling sein gesamtes Potenzial abrufen kann und bringt ihn somit um den Lohn für seine Mühen. "Menschen mit Prüfungsangst verkaufen sich unter Wert" (Litzcke 2003, S. 1). Da die Prüfungen im Schulalltag eine gewichtige Rolle einnehmen und in Form von Zensuren den Grundstein für die weiteren Laufbahnen von Schülerinnen und Schülern bilden, stellt die Prüfungsangst ein großes Problem dar. Ein schlichtes Entfallenlassen der Prüfungen, um so deren Druck und der Prüfungsangst zu entgehen wäre jedoch voreilig, denn "Prüfungen dienen der Sicherung des Leistungsprinzips, und wer Prüfungen abschaffen will, muss sich fragen lassen, was er an ihre Stelle zu setzen beabsichtigt" (Litzcke 2003, S. 1). Dieser Ansatz wurde schon häufig in Angriff genommen, sodass einige Alternativen zur vorherrschenden Form der Prüfung ausgearbeitet werden konnten. Doch blieb die Prüfung bis jetzt unerlässlich, um, wie Litzcke schon formulierte, das Leistungsprinzip, welches uns aus den Standeszwängen
