Facharbeit (Schule) aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich VWL - Gesundheitsökonomie, Note: 1.5, Bildungszentrum kvBL Reinach, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Prämien der Krankenkassen steigen jedes Jahr erneut an, im Jahr 2014 durchschnittlich um 2,2%. In den letzten zehn Jahren sind sie um rund 3,5% angestiegen. Die höchste Steigerung fand im Jahr 2010 statt mit satten 8,7%. Doch wofür wird das Geld gebraucht? Am meisten Kosten verursachen die Spitäler. Während der Anteil der Medikamente gesunken ist, haben die Spitalkosten weiter zugenommen. Im Jahr 2008 hatte die Schweiz weltweit mit 10,7% die zweithöchsten Gesundheitsausgaben pro Kopf, gemessen am Bruttoinlandprodukt. Das einzige Land, das noch höhere Ausgaben hat, sind die USA. Jedoch ist bekannt, dass die USA ein großes Problem mit ihrem Gesundheitssystem haben und dieses auch dringend überarbeiten müssen. Doch dazu komme ich im zweiten Teil. Die Gesundheitskosten sind zwischen 1996 und 2011 um 72% gestiegen. Die Prämien allerdings haben sich um durchschnittlich 116% erhöht. Noch wichtiger ist, dass die Gesundheitskosten auch schneller wachsen als das BIP. Der Bund geht davon aus, dass sich dies bis mindestens 2060 auch nicht ändern wird. Das wirft die Fragen auf, warum die Prämien kontinuierlich steigen und weshalb die Gesundheitskosten so hoch sind. Genau damit möchte ich mich in meiner berufspraktischen Arbeit auseinandersetzen. Zudem möchte ich herausfinden, ob man etwas gegen die Erhöhungen tun kann. Geht man einfach zu verschwenderisch mit den Prämien um? Muss ein anderes System her? Oder müssen die Bürger sich aktiv am Sparen beteiligen? Die Qualität des Schweizer Gesundheitswesens ist eine der besten der Welt. Somit sind auch die hohen Kosten erklärbar. Die Schweiz hat zum Beispiel eine der höchsten Lebenserwartungen weltweit. Allerdings gibt es Länder wie z.B. Schweden, die eine ähnlich gute Qualität haben, die Kosten jedoch tiefer sind als diejenigen der Schweiz. Ich möchte nicht behaupten, dass die Ko
