About the Book

Prophetic Directing for Stage and Film is a book for the director who dares to do it differently. Allow L.A. Holts to impart into you how to use your creative directing gift prophetically. God's ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Come along and be prepared to think outside of the box. From how to hold auditions prophetically to choosing props by the Spirit, this book will challenge tradition and ignite fresh ideas for new film and theater productions.Prophetic Directing is the act of completely yielding to the Holy Spirit's leading throughout the entire direction process of a film or stage play without consideration of formal training, traditional rules or industry norms. Prophetic Directing requires a shifting of mindsets throughout the director's decision making process regarding scripting, visual props, light design, set design, locations, blocking, casting, wardrobe, sound and characterization. In this book, you will learn the spiritual traits needed for a prophetic director, how to cast without rejection, how to avoid the temptation of the secular industry and so much more.
About the Author: L. A. Holts is a passionate and accomplished poet, playwright and creative artist who graduated in the top 10 percent of her class with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Fiction Writing. Her career has spanned more than two decades garnering significant contributions to both television, film and stage. She presented the character of "Stacey" on the Emmy Award winning and pioneering soap opera, The Awakening; as well as a role in "To Sir, With Love" starring Sidney Poitier. She was also a part of a core singing group in a national T-Mobile commercial entitled, "Home for the Holidays." Her background in television, film and theatre is impressive and has caused her to travel extensively across the nation not only in roles as an actress; but also in writing and directing her own projects including her signature play, "13 Women," and a new production, "Doors." Her projects, which are Christ centered, are presented to sold-out audiences. Currently, L.A. oversees Kingdom Citizens Ministries, a creative arts fellowship with a strong online presence, production and ministry team that travels with her in bringing her writings to television and stage. She has published six books: Trapped Inside, 13 Women, Hell Chronicles, I'm Grown, Dance Me A Poem, Tips for Armor Bearers; the Heart of a Servant & Prophetic Directing for Stage & Film. Her project, 13 Women, is currently in production as a feature film. Presently, her ministry is under the apostolic guidance of Apostle Theresa Harvard Johnson, founder of The School of the Scribe.
