About the Book

Imagine the world's greatest prophet reincarnated in the modern age. At thirteen years old, what might teachers think of her as she stares out the window during math class? What would psychiatrists think of her when she imagines things, thinks things, and sees things normal people do not? What would members of the establishment try to do to her in their efforts to help? How would this free spirited young person react to society's efforts to normalize her? And what would she grow to think of those powers governing a society that singles her out as one with a type of mind that must be altered? Stella Childs may be delusional. Or she may be the reincarnation of The Prophet Walker, the one who left The Great Prophesy, written in footprints 10,000 years ago. According to the mysterious beings and people guiding her (whether real or part of her elaborate delusion) The Great Prophesy, preserved to this day in lava flows on Bel Fire Mountain, tells all the history of the world, from 10,000 years ago, to a climactic transformation known as The Singularity which is to take place in our very near future. It also reveals the workings of the It Animal, a prehistoric beast that secretly dwelt in the infrastructure of an advanced ancient society from where It attempted to rule the world. Now It has grown back-even more powerful than It was. And lest Its plans be revealed to the masses before Its plans can be implemented, It will stop at no end to destroy the reincarnation of the Prophet Walker. The Trans-Burgeoning Pathways, book 1 in The Prophet Walker Series, is the story of Stella Childs' journey to self realization, initiated by the mysterious forces of Nature burgeoning within and around her. In the process of learning the Tracking and Wilderness Survival Skills intrinsic to the story, Stella must come to the vital blending of critical and imaginative thinking that is the true hallmark of all independent, free thinkers, spiritual scientists, duirkens, and of course...prophets.
About the Author: Dan Mac is a wilderness guide, an inspired and learned proponent of Natural Education, a tracker, designer/builder/woodworker, teacher, poet, historian, piper, a brewer of magical meads, and a purveyor of Awen. His wife says he is a Renaissance man of the twenty-first century. He claims only to be the discoverer of the Basic Formula of the Universe--and a very fast runner. Currently, while continuing the nine part "Prophet Walker" series, he allegedly is working on a nonfiction book entitled, "Natural Education," a Mythic Reality novella entitled, "De-Coding The Lord of the Rings," and finishing his house. He lives with his clan on "the land" in Temple, NH, where he offers Wilderness Workshops and Mythic Adventures.
