Das Ziel der vorliegenden Diplomarbeit ist es, für ein Unternehmen Methoden zur Erhebung und Klassifizierung von unstrukturierten (Produkt)Daten zu erheben. Das Unternehmen hat das umfassende Problem, dass viele der (Produkt) Daten in unstrukturierter Form vorliegen. Des Weiteren sind die (Produkt)Daten in den unterschiedlichsten Datenformaten abgespeichert und zudem sind diese (Produkt)Daten nicht zentral auf einem System, sondern verteilt auf den verschiedensten Netzlaufwerken, abgelegt. In einer Vorstudie, in der IT Manager von 25 Unternehmen befragt werden, wird grundlegend die derzeitige IT Situation dieser Unternehmen aufgezeigt. Interessanterweise verfügen sieben von den 25 befragten Unternehmen über ein Datenmanagement-System, um die Menge von unstrukturierten Daten zu beherrschen. Die Menge der Daten auf den Speichersystemen der Unternehmen nimmt aufgrund des technischen Fortschritts ständig zu. Jährlich, täglich, stündlich, ja sogar praktisch in jeder Minute werden die unterschiedlichsten Daten und Dokumente im Laufe der Geschäftsprozesse erzeugt. Das ist auch der Grund, warum der Umfang der unstrukturierten Daten in der untersuchten Firma rasant zunimmt und durch eine Vielzahl von Datenmultiplikatoren auch zusätzlich vorangetrieben wird. Der Gesetzgeber, Produktrichtlinien, Zertifizierungen, Patente oder aber auch die klassischen Bereiche in einem Unternehmen, wie z.B.
