About the Book

English summary: Gaza was a cultural crossroads during late Antiquity, open to a number of literary and religious traditions. The present volume offers an extensive selection of texts drawn from the school of Gaza and written by Procopius of Gaza (470-530) on subjects ranging from imperial panegyrics to descriptions of art works. This critical edition and French translation is accompanied by copious analyses and bibliographical references. I a X de Procope.
