È stato dimostrato che la morfologia superficiale degli elettrodi Ebonex(R)/Pt e la loro composizione di fase dipendono dal contenuto di platino, dalla temperatura e dal tempo di lavorazione. È stato stabilito che la cristallinità del rivestimento di platino aumenta con l'aumentare della temperatura e del tempo di lavorazione. In questo caso, le tensioni interne dei rivestimenti si riducono di quasi 4 volte. Si propone di utilizzare il picco di riduzione dei composti di platino contenenti ossigeno sul voltammogramma di stripping come parametro di correlazione per prevedere l'attività elettrocatalitica degli elettrodi compositi trattati termicamente nella reazione di evoluzione dell'ossigeno. È stato dimostrato che il tasso di OER aumenta con l'incremento dell'area del picco di riduzione (quantità di elettricità). Il valore massimo di CE del Cr(VI) in elettroliti di urea-formato non supera il 12%, il che rende possibile l'utilizzo di tutti i materiali sviluppati come anodi nei processi di cromatura. Inoltre, gli anodi Ebonex(R)/Pt con un contenuto di Pt di 2 mg cm-2, ottenuti a una temperatura di trattamento di 230 °C, possono essere utilizzati in elettroliti di cromatura a base di formiato, poiché il CE del Cr(VI) in questo caso non supera il 6%.
