About the Book

WARNING: The 2022 edition of The Process> is now available. Search for "The Process 2022 Edition" to locate it in the Amazon marketplace.

The Process - 2021 Full Edition

The Process - Integrating Valuations and Biases into a Winning Fantasy Baseball Formula (thefantasybaseballprocess.com) is written by Jeff Zimmerman (Rotographs, two-time Tout Wars champion) and Tanner Bell (SmartFantasyBaseball.com, author of Using Standing Gain Points to Rank and Value Fantasy Baseball Players).

Please read carefully. This offering is for the full edition of the book. Please read further to understand both offerings that are available. We are sorry to announce that there will not be major updates to The Process for the 2021 edition.

It's not for a lack of ideas. Simply put, it has been a strange year. The shutdown and restarting of the season, the rule changes, the odd schedules, and the seven-inning games have us questioning the validity of any innovative research. Layer in the compressed season, new working conditions, remote schooling our kids, and the general stress of dealing with all of this, and 2020 has beaten us into submission.

With that in mind, we've decided to offer two editions this year, so our readers can choose the version that's right for them. Information on the Full 2021 Edition and the 2021 Appendix Edition is below. We want to be very transparent about what you can expect from these options.

The Process - 2021 Full Edition

The body of this book is the same as the 2020 edition, but with an updated appendix to prepare you for the 2021 season. The appendix is updated for various leagues' standings gain points (SGP), 2021 Steamer projections with the SGP, projected handedness splits, and more. Additionally, we provide our own analysis of how to weight SGP with the shortened season. If you have not previously bought the book, this is the edition for you..

The Process - 2021 Appendix Edition

This offering is the slimmed-down version containing just the appendix and SGP analysis. This is the edition for owners that have previously read the 2020 edition and are now looking for updated projections, SGP, and other data in the appendix. The Appendix Edition includes over 65 pages of information to help prepare for the 2021 season. Don't want to spend hours calculating SGP for your league? Save the time and purchase the Appendix Edition.

What Are Others Saying About the Book?

What lies in these pages is the most thorough tackling of the larger questions of rotisserie baseball that you'll find anywhere in this world (physical or digital). Jeff and Tanner examine concepts such as cognitive biases and measurement of intrinsic value, they dig into the trick, inexact science of FAAB, and they also introduce new ideas and theories. Clay Link, Rotowire, 2018 TGFBI Champion

After reading 'The Process', I realize I will never write a book about fantasy baseball because Jeff Zimmerman and Tanner Bell wrote the book I would have written, only way better. Rob Silver, NFBC Main Event Overall Champion

Most books just tell you how the author won his leagues. What makes Tanner Bell and Jeff Zimmerman's effort so epic is that it not only shows their work in every step of their own methods, it gives the reader a great sense of how they could innovate further, and how they could build their own league-winning process. This is a must-read for any fantasy baseball lover. Eno Sarris, The Athletic

'The Process' is one of the smartest, most comprehensive fantasy baseball books to hit the market in years. If you're a valuation fanatic like I am, you'll enjoy and devour every page of this book. Mike Gianella, Baseball Prospectus, Former Tout Wars and LABR Champion
