Wie praktisch, dass die Anzeige gleich ganz oben auf Googles Suchliste erschienen ist. Aber woher wusste Google das eigentlich? Höchstwahrscheinlich hat sich das jeder schon mal gefragt und hat eine vage Vermutung: Dass das irgendwas mit Datensammeln zu tun haben muss. Viele, die diese diffuse Ahnung haben, empfinden es vielfach als "guten Tausch, für komfortable Netzangebote mit Informationen über sich selbst zu bezahlen" (Reepesgaard, 2010: 263) Hier greift das Zitat von hr-iNFO-Redakteur Oliver Günther: "Die Währung im Internet ist nicht Geld, sondern Daten", (http: //www.sr-online.de/sr3/61/1406854.html) Doch weshalb diese Datensammelwut? Ganz einfach: Google finanziert seine kostenlosen Dienste über Werbung und Werbeunternehmen, sind wiederum angewiesen auf möglichst präzise Daten ihrer potentiellen Kunden. Genau über diese Daten verfügt Google - ein lohnendes Geschäft. In meiner Hausarbeit möchte ich untersuchen, inwieweit Google die Privatsphäre des einzelnen Nutzers mit seiner Datensammelei zur Finanzierung seiner Gratis-Dienste berührt oder gar einschränkt. Dazu werde ich Beate Rösslers Theorie der Privatsphäre zur Grundlage meiner Untersuchung machen. Die in Rösslers Theorie enthaltene normative Begründung des Wertes von Privatheit, d.h. warum Privatheit wichtig ist, ist maßgebend, um "Verfalls- und Veränderungsprozesse zu interpretieren" (Rössler, 2002: 18). Im ersten Teil werde ich Rösslers Theorie erläutern, wobei ich insbesondere auf die Dimension der informationellen Privatheit eingehen werde. Anschließend werde ich zunächst neutral die "Werbeökonomie" von Google
