About the Book

English summary: The publication of the Quodlibets by the Franciscan Richard de Mediavilla (1248-1300) follows the form of his Questions disputees, but is defined by the richness of the texts and the circumstances they were written under. The first Quodlibet, composed of twenty-two questions, gives the impression of a complete synthesis that has been arranged in an order indicated in the preambles of the questions. Thus, the author analyzes God, Christ, and beings, in a manner that can be seen as more speculative than practical.
