The connection between our thoughts/beliefs with our health/life experiences has been recently heralded as an important discovery by scientists. Yet in the 1920s Dr. Ernest Holmes extensively studied what others had already written about this & synthesized his understanding in The Science of Mind text. He described it as a correlation of laws of science, opinions of philosophy, and revelations of religion.
The Practitioner Handbook is a how-to book for those who want to learn spiritual mind healing, a highly effective technique for physical and mental healing. It is based on the understanding that we are surrounded by a Universal Mind, which reacts to our thought--and always according to Law.
Earlier editions of The Practitioner Handbook have offered invaluable insights into the mystical and practical aspects of being a Practitioner of high consciousness in today's world. This edition offers even more to its readers and will in its own right become a treasured resource to every person who seeks to deepen and empower their application of Spiritual Mind Treatment.
About the Author: Rev. Mary Mitchell's destiny was launched with a degree in Forest Industries Management from Ohio State University. Her interest in metaphysics was pivotal to her success in the industry and the last decade of her career managing a resource conservation district.
Soon after moving to California, Mary found her spiritual home at the Center for Spiritual Living where she began classes in the Science of Mind philosophy. This propelled her into deeper study, which was supported by her love of writing. She was licensed as a Religious Science Practitioner in 1993, a Minister in 2003, and was ordained in 2008.
When she retired from the conservation district in 2012, she was asked to serve as interim co-pastor at the Center in Redding until a new pastor was hired. Two years later, what she didn't expect was the impact her lessons on the science of our mind and our relationship with Infinite Intelligence would turn into life-changing experiences for the congregation plus two new books and the third edition of this book.
This edition is a natural follow-up to Mary's previous publications (written under Mary E. Schroeder): Jump into Life with James Golden; The Practitioner Handbook (first and second editions); and Engaging Grace: How to Use the Power of Co-Creation in Daily Life. Every day Mary is inspired by the lake, mountains, and wildlife around her home in Cottonwood, California, where she lives with her wonderfully supportive husband, Paul Mitchell, and their persnickety cat, Max.
