(Waltraud Puzicha, (*1925), deutsche Aphoristikerin) Anorexia nervosa - oder auch besser bekannt unter dem Namen Magersucht - ist die dritthäufigste chronische Erkrankung in der weiblichen Adoleszenz (vgl. Herpertz Dahlmann, 2008, S. 19). Mit dem Zitat von Waltraud Puzicha wird die mög-liche schlimmste Folge dieses Störungsbildes auf den Punkt gebracht. Die Mortalitäts-rate von etwa 5 %, die die Anorexia nervosa zu verzeichnen hat, ist unter den psychi-schen Erkrankungen die höchste Ziffer. Die Inzidenzrate liegt jährlich bei etwa acht von 100.000 Personen (vgl. Salbach-Andrae, Jacobi, & Jaite, 2010, S. 20 f.). Schät-zungsweise sind etwa 0,5 bis 1,5 % der 12- bis 25-Jährigen von diesem Störungsbild betroffen. Bei etwa 14 und 19 Jahren liegen die beiden Erkrankungsgipfel. Laut der Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung (BZgA) ist die Tendenz leicht stei-gend. Hauptsächlich findet sich die Anorexia nervosa bei jungen Mädchen und Frauen wieder und ist etwa zehnmal häufiger als bei den Jungen und jungen Männern festzu-stellen (vgl. ebd., S. 20; BZgA, 2010 (a), S. 17 f.). All diese Einstiegsfakten machen darauf aufmerksam wie wichtig eine frühzeitige Er-kennung und Behandlung, aber vor allem ein Entgegenwirken ist. Die vorliegende Ba-chelorarbeit fokussiert sich vor allem auf den Aspekt des Entgegenwirkens, folglich der Prävention von Anorexia nervosa im Kindes- und Jugendalter. Da sich dieses Stö-rungsbild vorwiegend in der Adoleszenz entwickelt und manifestiert, wird sich der Fokus in der vorliegenden Arbeit ausschließlich auf diese Altersspanne des Kindes- und Jugendalters konzentrieren. Um Anorexia nervosa präventiv entgegenwirken zu können, ist im Vorfeld eine Aus-einandersetzung mit dem Störungsbild erforderlich.
