About the Book

The book is a summary in disclosure language of a socio-economic, political, and historic research about the origin and causes of poverty of underdeveloped countries that began in 1999 and published in its first phase in 2001 in the book of the same author entitled "Neoliberalism - NEED OF AN ALTERNATIVE MODEL", which subtitle expresses an outline about this research. A second phase is present in the second book published in 2003: "Rectifying the Path - A VIABLE ALTERNATIVE MODEL FOR BOLIVIA where the model is already prepared for a specific country. This book is the third phase of the research; it begins with a look at the current state of the economy in different countries of the world - taking a base year which would serve as reference - highlighting the abysmal differences between them. Then, a review of the main ideas and economic schools is done, which throughout the history of economic thought were concerned directly or indirectly on these differences and poverty in the countries, which serves as a frame of reference. Then it goes back to the origins of early human societies. In this part, the book scrutinizes the origins and causes which could have caused the poverty status of these early human formations. Walking through the history of mankind -a bird's eye view - other influencing factors affecting the state of the economy of the people in different latitudes of the planet are reviewed. In this way we come to some conclusions that explain the current situation of poverty in the so-called underdeveloped countries today. The causes known and the diagnosis done and as a logical consequence of the work done over the years, a recipe is made: the proposal of a generic socio-economic and political model that had the ability to be applied -made appropriate adaptations - any developed country in the world. The book ends with a vision of the future that probably awaits our world.
