About the Book

English summary: The psychological approach of the character, defined as the coherent representation of an individual, a product of fiction with a personality, feelings, and thoughts, is questioned in this study. Going against the typical conception that makes of the Roman comedy an imitation of reality, which offers the audience a "piece of life," this study attempts to reconstruct the process of dramaturgical creation in the works of Plautus and Terrence, all while preserving them in their cultural context. French text.
