Posnaturalezas poéticas. Pensamiento ecológico y políticas de la extrañeza en la poesía latinoamericana contemporánea investiga el significado medioambiental, cultural y político del giro posnatural en la poesía latinoamericana contemporánea. Lo posnatural no se entiende aquí en términos apocalípticos sino como las materias y visiones que desafían las dicotomías naturaleza-cultura, humano- no humano, al mismo tiempo que interconectan lo regional a lo planetario. Con atención en el extrañamiento poético, este libro explora las experimentaciones poéticas con el lenguaje, el audiovisual, lo digital y el bioarte en el horizonte posnatural.

Desde el aire colmado de amianto en una fábrica en Santiago de Chile a las llamas y cenizas de un humedal ardiendo en la Cuenca Baja del Paraná, la poesía estudiada aquí escenifica las crisis ambientales, sociales y sanitarias en América Latina bajo la expansión del neo-extractivismo desde fines del siglo XX. ¿Cómo escenifica, resiste e interviene la poesía en las mutaciones geológicas y atmosféricas? A través de análisis cercanos de poemas de Carlos Soto-Román, Daniel Samoilovich, Verónica Gerber Bicecci, Santiago Acosta, Cecilia Vicuña, Roxana Miranda Rupailaf, Esthela Calderón, Eduardo Kac, Luigi Amara, Josely Vianna Baptista, y el poema colectivo Humedal, Azucena Castro muestra cómo la poesía contemporánea interactúa con los ecocidios en territorios indígenas, los residuos de la producción fósil en petroestados y los monocultivos en zonas de agricultura intensiva. Este libro busca comprender el rol de la forma poética en la elaboración, negociación y comunicación de conocimientos medioambientales durante las aceleradas y profundas transformaciones en curso que tienen lugar en América Latina desde 1970 al presente.
