About the Book

My name is The Lonely Mystic. I've been known by other names and other faces. I'm on a quest to learn the answers to burning questions, such as which came first the Matzah ball or the chicken? Is sex really safe? Who is the Sandman? Do aliens exist? What happened millions of years ago in the solar system and who was sleeping with whom then? Do club soda bubbles affect brain cells? What to do in the midst of a bank robbery when you are caught holding the bag? These are some of the perplexities facing a time traveling, shape shifting, inter-dimensional and globe trotting Jewish boy from Brooklyn destined to save the world. Plus it is illustrated in 3D!Portraits of a Lonely Mystic in 3D consists of 80 illustrated chapters depicting adventures of The Lonely Mystic. You travel from Canarsie, Brooklyn to places like Tashkent, Tibet and Russia. You visit other dimensions and spiritual places on high. You journey to the subconscious, unconscious, super-conscious and sometimes even remain conscious, but there are no guarantees because this is an unbridled, dubious autobiography of a East New York boy with an unusual past and yet to be explored future.
About the Author: Parented by recently immigrated Holocaust survivors seven days after arriving in New York City, he was born in Brooklyn where many unusual people are born.: ) During the 70's he studied Do In, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Acupressure, and Tai Chi. A scholarship to study Chinese Medicine brought him to a Buddhist University in South Korea. IA decade later, he obtained another scholarship to study Chinese Thought: His 337 page thesis was titled a Comparative Study of the I Ching and the Analects of Confucius and shed new light on the inner workings of the predecessor of binary arithmetic and computer programming. In the 80's he completed Portraits of the I Ching. It consisted of Japanese Sumi-e ink photo-realistic black and white paintings depicting scenes from his life which correlated to the sixty-four hexagrams of the I Ching, The Book of Changes. Around the same time, he also obtained his MA in Asian Studies. Misha Ha Baka has penned several other works including Tree House Pond-a photo-poem book, Confessions of a Lonely Mystic small talk - a book of poems. The Print Operas series and Confessions of a Lonely Mystic: short talk: Short stories of the mystical and paranormal in everyday life. He has a BA in English Literature, a MA in Asian Studies and has studied healing and mystic thought in Asia, England, Israel and in the United States. He is an ordained spiritual healer, an ordained member of the clergy and teaches and practices his spiritual arts. He is also a fine artist, a graphic artist, a photographer, a musician, a composer and a music producer with dozens of albums of original music such as Passion, Miracle and Ancient, to name but a few.
