Jahrhundert erfahren hat und seiner vermeintlichen Feindschaft zur attischen Demokratie, zur Zielscheibe kontroverser Diskussionen. Der hauptsächliche Kern dieser Diskussionen bezog sich vor allem auf den Charakter des von ihm entwickelten Idealstaates und manifestierte sich in der Frage, ob dieser als totalitär zu bezeichnen sei und er demnach selbst Anhänger totalitärer Ideen gewesen sein könnte. Bezüglich dieser Anschuldigungen zum Totalitarismus sticht auf Seiten der Antiplatoniker besonders Karl Popper mit seinem Buch "Die offene Gesellschaft und ihre Feinde" heraus, mit dem er die wohl radikalste, weitgehendste und systematischste Kritik an Platon und dessen Werken erarbeitete. Er sieht in ihm einen der Wegbereiter nationalsozialistischer und bolschewistischer Diktaturen und ihrer grauenvollen Verbrechen. Dies ist auch der Grund, warum hauptsächlich die Vorwürfe Poppers zur Grundlage der Untersuchungen und der Überprüfung von Platons Staatsentwurf verwendet werden sollen. [...]
About the Author: Alexander Gajewski wurde am 11.06.1988 in Bad Oldesloe geboren. Aufgewachsen ist er in Lübeck, wo er auch seine schulische Laufbahn absolvierte, die er im Sommer 2007 mit dem Abitur abschloss. Nach dem anschließenden Grundwehrdienst in Bad Segeberg, studierte er von 2008 bis 2011 Politikwissenschaften und Neuere Geschichte Europas an der Universität Rostock. Nach Erlangung des akademischen Grades Bachelor of Arts wechselte er 2011 an die Freie Universität Berlin, wo er im Master das Fach Politikwissenschaften weiterstudierte und 2014 mit dem akademischen Grad Master of Arts abschloss.
