About the Book

The three main religions of the Western World have two types of instructions. The exoteric one, for the public, and the esoteric, or secret teachings, for the inner core. Islamism has Sufism, Judaism, Kabbalah. The Gnostic teachings can be considered the esoteric Christianity. Thomas, was one of Jesus apostles. The Gospel of Thomas records 114 sayings of Jesus. Some of these sayings express the esoteric teachings of Christianity.
About the Author: Happiness. How can we live happier lives? If you want to share your contribution or to read about my findings, please go to www.HappinessAcademyOnline.org. As I get older and, with a bit of luck, wiser, I want to pass on the lessons life has taught me. After reaching my seventies, I decided to become a full time writer and I dove into the field of Jungian psychology and psychological thrillers. My first encounter with the teachings of the Swiss psychologist C. G. Jung, one of the greatest geniuses of the 20th Century, was during my midlife crisis. Reading "Man and his Symbols" at that time, inspired me to go into Jungian analysis and to begin devouring the writings of Jung and his disciples. I think books can be absorbed through multiple interpretations, and yield important insights for our lives. With Jungian psychology, I interpreted some masterpieces of the world literature, unearthing important life teachings. My first Jungian book - "The Little Prince for Grown-ups" - was based on the famous book of Saint-Exupéry. It was followed by "The Jungian Bible", which introduces the reader to some basic concepts of Jungian Psychology and interprets some stories of the Old Testament . I am also writing fiction. Jesus Christ passed on his teachings in parables easy to read and enjoy. As a writer, I try to follow the Master approach, bringing ideas through fiction. "The Amazon Shaman," is a thriller involving the shaman initiation and Shamanism, which according to Jung, is historically and symbolically the basis of modern psychotherapy. "In Search of Happiness" is the story of a boy in his search through life. I like to see myself as an unorthodox philosopher that likes to read, in addition to Christianity and Jungian psychology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shamanism, Sufism, Kabbalah, Spiritualism, and the Allan Kardec doctrine. As a result of a Jungian analysis, my analyst suggested that I learned music to work on my inferior function: feeling. After five years studying music, I composed my parent`s 50th anniversary mass. At Stanford University, I completed a PhD in Economic Systems Planning (1969). In the business world, my great success was the turnaround of CSN, the largest steel mill in Latin America.
