About the Book

Raj has strong feelings about India after the first adventure. His feelings land him in a big problem. He looks for a solution by trying to go through the Door. But the Door doesn't appear at first when he and Neela try to summon it. How will the Door appear now? What will they learn about the Door and the Doorkeepers? Who is the master poet that is going to arrive? Will the poet help them? Will the problem be solved or not?
About the Author: Harjot Singh grew up in India and lives in California with his wife and two children. He has been reading books and telling stories as long as he can remember. This book series grew out of his storytelling to his children about Indian culture and history, especially the stories that move him and make his heart beat faster. When not writing, he has fun juggling his roles as a husband, father and a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. Aninda Dutta, the Illustrator, is a graduate of California State University School of Engineering. He had formal art training as a child, but most of it is self taught. This is his first illustrated book series and he looks forward to doing many more. He lives in California with his wife and two children. This is the second book in the Adventures Through the Door series. They are for ages 8 and above. They are fiction, yet their roots are in real events. Early reviews for Adventures Through the Door series: "Well written and historically accurate. Excellent way for all children to begin to understand the culture and history of India. This book is about India but the potential is great for the "magical door" to open minds to a variety of historical eras and cultures. Reading this book aloud or assigning it to children, would allow teachers to take kids on exciting adventures to other countries and time periods." - Jo Ellen Priest Misakian, Library Media Program Director, Fresno Pacific University Past President, California School Library Association Director, Region VII, American Association of School Librarians "I truly believe that a good book stirs your emotions, and it did just that! It left me with a smile on my lips and tears in my eyes! The book incorporates values of culture, patriotism and curiosity." - Bindia P., Mother and Middle School Teacher, California "India's rich history revealed to its sons and daughters born and living in a foreign land. A must read." -Marion Bowman, UK "What a personal experience! We didn't want to put the book down. I highly recommend it if you want your children and yourself to feel connected to India." - P.M., Father Georgia "Excellent plot. The themes of hope, kindness, bravery and pride in culture - all have place in today's culture. The characters are true-to-life, children can identify easily." - R.R., Principal, Middle School, California http: //www.adventuresthroughthedoor.com
