About the Author: Mary Groesch is an international educator with over thirty years of experience. She holds a BA in English from Carleton College and an MAT teaching degree from the National College of Education, and she has extensively trained in geography through the National Geographic State Alliance Teaching Program.
In addition to teaching in various classroom settings in the Chicago suburbs, including single grade, self-contained, and multi-age, she has also taught internationally in Lima, Peru, and Santiago, Chile, as well as instructed college students at Northwestern University.
Groesch enjoys leading writing workshops abroad in Peru, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Barbados, and the Bahamas.
