Forschungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Philosophie der Antike, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main (FB Erziehungswissenschaften, Institut für Pädagogik der Sekundarstufe), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das sokratische Nichtwissen ist der zentrale Gegenstand dieser historisch-systematischen Arbeit zu Platon. Diese spezifische Art von Nichtwissen wird im Zusammenhang einer Gesamtdeutung von Platons Dialogwerk in seiner Bedeutung für ein sokratisch-skeptisches Bildungskonzept erarbeitet. Ausgangspunkt hierfür ist eine Skizze der gegenwärtigen bildungstheoretischen Problemlage hinsichtlich der Konzeptualisierung eines Bildungsbegriffes, der als Orientierungskategorie für die Pädagogik tragfähig ist. Die Forschungsarbeit akzentuiert auf dem Hintergrund der Schriftkritik Platons die sokratisch-skeptische Vorbehaltlichkeit als wesentliches Charakteristikum des Philosophierens Platons und entfaltet das sokratische Nichtwissen als sokratisch-problemerschlossene Bildung. Es wird ein Konzept sokratisch-problemerschlossener Bildung vorgestellt und präzise konturiert. Hierdurch wird durch Rückgriff auf das platonische Dialogwerk ein Potential antiken Bildungsdenkens als `sokratisches Erbe´ Platons erschlossen, das durch traditionsgeschichtliche Einseitigkeiten bis in die Gegenwart weitgehend verstellt ist. Dies ist von besonderer Bedeutung, weil das skeptisch-kritische Potential und die Bedeutsamkeit problematischer-vernünftiger Bildung für das Bildungsdenken und für die Bildungspraxis bis heute kaum wirksam geworden sind. Denn Platons Philosophieren als Grundstein abendländischen Denkens wurde wesentlich im Sinne des problembewältigenden Vernunftgebrauches rezipiert, was gravierende Einschränkungen für die Möglichkeiten bildungstheoretischen Denkens nach sich gezogen hat.
