Zunächst werden in der vorliegenden Arbeit die Grundlagen geklärt und das Cybermobbing und ähnliche Phänomene definiert und beschrieben. Als nächstes werden die Motive der Täter genannt und die Folgen des Cybermobbings bei den Opfern beschrieben. Im zweiten Kapitel wird das Medienutzungsverhalten von Kindern und Jugendlichen mit Bezugnahme auf die einschlägig bekannten Studien dargelegt. Im dritten Kapitel wird die Zielgruppe definiert und die Präventionsveranstaltung positioniert. Als nächstes wird dann ein Konzept für einen Präventioskurs zu Cybermobbing an Schulen samt Name und Slogan, Grob- und Feinzielen sowie Lerinhalten vorgestellt. Zum Schluss der Arbeit wird erläutert, wie die Evaluation des Präventionskurses erfolgen könnte. Was ist eigentlich Cybermobbing? Cybermobbing unterscheidet sich in einigen Punkten vom herkömmlichen Mobbing. So sind die Cybermobbing-Attacken an keine Zeit gebunden, können also auch nachmittags oder nachts stattfinden, während das herkömmliche Mobbing eher während der Schul- oder Arbeitszeit vorkommt. Ein weiteres Kennzeichen des Cybermobbings ist, dass die Täter im Schutz der Anonymität keine Angst vor Sanktionen haben. Da aber auch der Angegriffene nicht körperlich anwesend ist, wird der Mobbende "nicht mit der Wirkung seiner Äußerungen konfrontiert". So können auch Personen, die offline nicht in Mobbing-Handlungen involviert sind, im Netz zu Mobbern werden.
