Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Schulpädagogik, Note: 1,0, Technische Universität Dresden (Schulpädagogik und Grundschulpädagogik), Veranstaltung: Seminar: Die Sekundarstufe I aus Sicht der empirischen Sozialforschung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Seit der Veröffentlichung der Ergebnisse der ersten PISA-Erhebung 2000 ist Bildungspolitik in Deutschland wieder ein heiß diskutiertes Thema und steht im Zentrum des politischen und öffentlichen Interesses. Dies ist angesichts des schlechten Abschneidens der deutschen Schüler nicht verwunderlich, sorgt doch die jetzige Ausbildung der Kinder und Jugendlichen für die Kompetenz und Bildung der zukünftigen Erwerbsgeneration. Besonders die großen Defizite in der Lesekompetenz 15-jähriger Schülerinnen und Schüler erschreckte die breite Öffentlichkeit. Dies resultiert vor allem daraus, da "trotz der zunehmenden Verbreitung neuer Medien dem Lesen von Texten eine zentrale Bedeutung für die aktive Teilnahme am gesellschaftlichen Leben nicht abgesprochen werden kann" (vgl. Streblow 2004, S. 275). Deshalb verwunderte es nicht, dass schon wenige Tage nach der Veröffentlichung der Ergebnisse der PISA-Erhebung 2000 Rufe nach einer verstärkten Förderung der Lesekompetenz laut wurden und bis heute anhalten. Die vorliegende Arbeit widmet sich der PISA-Studie 2006, in der zum dritten Mal die Lesekompetenz 15-jähriger deutscher Schülerinnen und Schüler erhoben wurde. Neben den wichtigsten Ergebnissen der Erhebung stehen aber vor allem die Fördermaßnahmen, die als Reaktion auf PISA 2000 folgten, im Zentrum der Betrachtung. Zu diesem Zweck wird zunächst dargelegt, was PISA unter Lesekompetenz versteht und wie diese erhoben wird. Im Anschluss daran erfolgt eine Betrachtung der zentralen Ergebnisse der PISA-Studie 2006. Das Hauptkapitel dieser Arbeit besteht dann aus einer Analyse der Maßnahmen, die zur Förderung der Lesekompetenz in Deutschland getroffen wurden, sowie einer kurzen Betrachtung bestehender Trainingsprogr
