About the Book

PINK PANTHERS: The Greatest Thieves unveils the astonishing true story of intelligence operatives and special forces soldiers-war survivors from the Yugoslav civil wars-who became the most daring jewelry thieves in history. Known as the Pink Panthers, they masterminded heists across the globe, escaping with over $2 billion in diamonds and forcing Interpol to form the first global task force in history, called Project Pink Panther. But this isn't just about brilliant thieves executing nonviolent heists in luxurious global locations while evading capture and outsmarting detectives. Author Neboysha Saikovski reveals their deep ties to global criminal networks, uncovering how their operations intertwined with business, political, and military elites. This gripping exposé illustrates how the world really functions and shows that the true largest criminals originate and reside in business, corporate, banking, and political boardrooms. This debut novel made Neboysha Saikovski the first Balkan author to secure a coveted movie deal with a Hollywood agency, cementing his status as a rising literary star on the global stage.

***

After hundreds of heists with loot amounting close to $US1 billion, the elusive shadowy network of brazen robbers known as the Pink Panthers terrorized the global jewelry industry, committing outrageous crimes fitting a Hollywood movie script.

Who are the real Pink Panthers?

Read the Unbelievable True Story of the Infamous Pink Panthers Gang of Diamond Thieves. A thought-provoking novel inspired by the true story of a group of thieves who pulled off the most spectacular heists of all time.

PINK PANTHERS: The Greatest Thieves is a crime thriller novel in the tradition of epic crime sagas such as The Godfather. Perfect if you like true-crime stories, heist adventures, and complex characters, then you'll love this action-packed tale which has it all, shocking family, war and political drama, sweeping dialogue, dark humor, well-placed twists and flashbacks, and sufficient action and suspense to keep you constantly engaged.
After the thieving team of the Pink Panthers successfully carried out three large diamond robberies in Antwerp, London, and Tokyo, they are recruiting an elegant logistics expert and a top make-up artist to prepare for the robbery at the DiamondBiennale in Paris. After successfully completing the job in Paris, they carry out two more spectacular robberies together, at the Amsterdam airport and in Saint Tropez, after which discord and attrition occur within the gang over the division of the loot. If there is no reconciliation, the rest of the gang is forced to forgather and train a new crew for another robbery, this time in Dubai. Will they manage to complete their last task before the final disintegration?

AUTHOR'S NOTE

By personalizing the functioning of criminal cartels, the horror of war, the dissolving of country and family, and showing the results of these bold events have on individuals is the general theme I tried to dive into this novel. Humanizing and both warmly and humorously portraying its main characters, without relieving them from responsibility, the novel offers an analytical portrait of people who had different plans for life and their future, which failed due to wars, a devastated economy, corruption, nepotism, and societal moral collapse.

This novel is the first part of a trilogy that deals with the socio-historical context of the emergence of the famous and powerful international robber group, Pink Panthers, created in the whirlwind of war during the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia. The background shows the entire process of the diamond business, how diamonds come to jewelry stores, from relentless exploitation of rich deposits of poor third-world countries and inciting bloody civil wars in them, to intertwining with interests of banks, and corporate-political machinations.
