Petals of Poetry contains all types of poetry. From a long free style narrative to acrostic and Haiku. The subjects are varied from biographies to science fiction. From my insight into the war in Libya to the account of my trip to New York to receive the award as Humanitarian Ambassador for Literary Arts at Princess Maria's Global Officials of Dignity Awards and launch We Care for Humanity Poetry Book at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where I was honored to receive a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition U. S. A. Congress. Poetry expresses deep feelings and ideas. It is the most concise form of literature and I am grateful that God has gifted it to me.
About the Author: Maureen Brindle is Official Poet of Princess Maria Amor's charity We Care for Humanity and 2nd/3rd Global Official of Dignity Awards, United Nations Headquarters New York 2014/2015. Maureen Brindle was honored to receive Certificates of Special Congressional Recognition from the United States of America Congress 2014/2015. Maureen Brindle is Humanitarian Ambassador on Literary Arts honored at the G.O.D. Awards United Nations Headquarters New York 2015. She was delighted to launch We Care for Humanity Poetry book with Princess Maria Amor at the United Nations Headquarters New York 2015 which she co-authored with Princess Maria Amor in support of W. C. H. She was the production editor for Princess Maria Amor's bijou concise biographies The Greatest Humanitarians of the World. A poet, scriptwriter, author & production editor, Maureen Brindle was born in the United Kingdom. The world is her inspiration. Maureen Brindle is a member of the Poetry Society, London and has contributed poetry to the R.S.P.B Poetry Trail. Her poetry has been published in the R.A.F. & Allied Forces Chapel, St Clement Danes, London, Bi-annual Magazine. Maureen Brindle reads at charity functions including Waterstones bookshop, Deansgate. She loves being a guest on Chrisoula Sirigou's program on Redshift Radio. She has also read and recorded her poetry on Tameside Radio many times. Maureen Brindle donated poems to The Naked Goddess Anthology by Jeannette Slavinski in support of Help for Heroes and Wounded Warriors Project. She production edited the eBook addition to The Naked Goddess Anthology. Her poetry books are Beloved Isles and narrative poetry books for children Missy Cat's Christmas Fairy, Magic Missy's Missing Kitten with U. S. A. illustrator Patricia Eichler. She has also written a full length children's poetry book Magic Aliens & Broomsticks. Her latest novel The Talisman is set in Egypt. All her books are published internationally in the U.S.A. Maureen Brindle also writes scripts. 2012 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth wrote via her Lady in Waiting, Maureen Brindle's poems have brought her much pleasure, a letter that Maureen will treasure forever. The first time Maureen Brindle read her poetry in public the special guest was the great WW2 humanitarian heroine Baroness Sue Ryder, an amazing experience to meet such a distinguished lady. She read her poem Winston Churchill on that occasion. Maureen will never forget it! Her world is expressed in poetry.
