About the Book

Tremor ist ein unvermeidliches Nebenprodukt der Muskeltätigkeit. Die- ser physiologische Tremor hat, ähnlich dem normalen EEG, ein charak- teristisches Frequenzspektrum. Erkrankungen des extrapyramidal-moto- rischen Systems führen durch eine pathologische Synchronisation moto- rischer Einheiten zu verstärkten Tremoren, die ebenfalls typische Spek- tren zeigen. Da sich die Innervation des Muskels bei allen zentral- oder periphermotorischen Störungen ändert, führt dies notwendig auch zu entsprechenden Änderungen der Tremorspektren. Somit zeigen auch die- jenigen Läsionen des motorischen Systems pathologische Tremorspektren, bei denen die Tremoramplituden normal sind und deshalb klinisch nicht als krankhaft imponieren.
