About the Book

R.M. Putnam's ever-constant interest in the Macabre has led her to create The Path to Darkness: Thirteen Tales of the Macabre. In combination with her love of photography, she has merged tales of horror, mystery and the paranormal. The Path to Darkness Thirteen Tales of the Macabre will thrill you, scare you and surprise you at the end of each story. Read about Serial Killers, Zombies, Madness, Voodoo Curses, Evil and the Paranormal. "Curl up in a chair when all is still and quiet. As you read my stories, you will shiver in fear, hear noises that crack and creak from the shadows. Are you actually alone? Could it be that eerie presence you feel is a ghost looking over your shoulder? Maybe a Zombie or Serial Killer is lurking at your window. Join me on this dark journey through the macabre." R.M. PutnamRevised and edited by Adrienne Koch for your reading pleasure
About the Author: R.M. Putnam grew up in the 1960's watching Twilight Zone, One Step Beyond, Night Gallery and other similar TV shows. Her interest in the Macabre therefore is ever-present. Fascinated with the strange and the unusual, murder and mayhem, Ms. Putnam felt drawn to write about a serial killer, an unlikely serial killer to be sure. After she completed the story, she was off on a new story, more terrifying than the last. Consumed with the project she published "The Path to Darkness Thirteen Tales of the Macabre" which includes the collection of Voodoo Doughnut stories. In addition, her love of Celtic lore and ancient history sent her on a quest to write the Destiny's Warriors Series. A student of mythology, folklore and history, R.M. Putnam created Destiny's Warriors. Her series has given Ms. Putnam the wonderful experience of book signings, speaking engagements, dramatic readings and meeting her readers. A team effort, Michael W. Valadez, illustrator for Destiny's Warriors, is also a co-writer aiding in information on technical warfare, weapons, character building and offering cultural and mythological insight. "I took great pleasure in writing Destiny's Warriors. Celtic, Roman, Greek myth and the wonderment of Pagan gods sent me on an 18-year journey of study and research. The brutality of human sacrifice to appease the gods is a part of history that is horrific. Moreover, the idea of gods having to deal with the same emotional issues as mortal man was fascinating for me to create. This wonderful journey into mystical realms evolved into an epic saga. Michael and I tell about enchanted warriors, mystical creatures and monsters such as Crimson Death, the Cannibalistic Baalites, Evil Sorcerers and the blackest of magic. The struggle to survive, heartache, betrayal and rivalry are what my characters face in this fantasy. You will cry at the heartbreak, cringe in fear from the carnage of battle and feel in awe at the romance as you read our tale." R.M. Putnam
