In this, his debut collection, poet Paris Hutchins chronicles the ups and downs of his life, relating his experiences to universal struggles. The seventy-five poems were written over the course of several decades, in Philadelphia, Miami, New York, and Birmingham, and each is preceded by a note about where and when it was written.
In mostly rhyming verse, Hutchins looks at the emotions that define us, especially hate and love- including romantic love and love of God. Some poems are frankly autobiographical, focusing on lessons Hutchins learned the hard way, courtesy of the challenges of modern life. Some of the many other topics addressed include fame, friendship, sexuality, travel, work, and drug usage.

About the Author: Paris Hutchins has lived in many different US cities, including Philadelphia, Miami, Indianapolis, Birmingham, and Manhattan. Currently, he resides in Richmond, Kentucky. He is unmarried and a high school graduate. Paris Originals is his first published collection of poetry, although he has been writing for several decades.
