About the Book

The title of this book might suggest that there is some name calling going on, maybe. This book recognizes an observation of the inappropriate behaviors of some parents and some children. The term silly is used to identify those parents and children who do not behave as they ought. Some children seem to be out of control, while some parents seem to have no clue about proper parenting. So, likewise, some parents are out of control. This book succinctly addresses and explains the huge divide and gap between the two generational groups called: "Old school" versus "New school." What is Old school? What is New school? "Old school" is a term that references a mindset or way of life, at least in America up to about 1975 or there about. The term "New school" is a mindset and way of life, at least in America from about 1976 forward. Maybe in rare cases or remote places this imbalance has existed for centuries. Certainly, in many communities, cultures, and family settings, "old school" will always be the mindset, culture and way of life. This book defers to the word of God for leadership and guidance on this very touchy and embarrassing topic. The intention for resourcing the word of God is so that there is a sense of authority and judgment. This book will show how to apply the word of God in order to bring about balance to the family. And when a balance is reached, parents and their children will transform from being silly -in a state of sillydom to becoming wise and responsible in a state of wisdom. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning (Proverbs 9:9KJV). The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God... (Proverbs 9:10 KJV). This book features more than just the description and graphic details of the eyebrow-raising and mouth-dropping stories or examples of silly parents and silly children. The word of God informs, instructs and guides parents how to be parents; children how to be children; mothers how to be mothers; fathers how to be fathers; husbands how to be husbands and wives how to be wives. The status of husbands and wives is included in this discussion of silly parents because some silly parents -husband or wife sometimes jeopardize their marriage- sometimes knowingly for their children. Sometimes the marriage is in jeopardy because of the children. Silly children can become a wedge between their parents' marriage. Often one parent or both parents may be so silly to be passive while knowing that something is wrong. They fail to take the appropriate action to remedy the existing or festering problems. One or both parents may see that the child(ren) is out of control. This book defers to the word of God for leadership and guidance on this very touchy and embarrassing topic. The intention for resourcing the word of God is so that there is a sense of authority and judgment. This book will show how to apply the word of God in order to bring about balance to the family. For a better understanding and appreciation of how to identify a silly parent or a silly child, a list of instances have been generated as a list of warning signs. This check list will inform that parent if they are considered silly. A section of this work showcases many short authentic and candid YouTube videos that show silly children and silly parents in action. For those like me, from "old school", when you watch these videos, I warn you to be careful that you don't lose your mind.
