Alexis R. Lauricella, Ph.D., Associate Director, Center on Media and Human Development, Northwestern University
About the Author: As a professor and education researcher, Chris Drew, Ph.D, has placed his focus on learning and literacy, which has led to groundbreaking innovations in early childhood education technology. These efforts have helped thousands of families across the country and the world.

His new educational series, Parent Win: Essential Activities To Nurture Smarter Kids, is the culmination of numerous studies. Working with many leading childhood educational organizations, universities and researchers, Drew has developed, tested and refined the values of this series. He is the founding Director of the Micro-Credentialing Initiative at Digital Promise, a Congressionally authorized education think tank. He also founded Parent University, a digital parent empowerment community that coaches parents to be their child's best teacher.

Over the past decade Drew has focused on his child development research, driven and motivated by the impact of his efforts to empower moms and dads. He recalls, "The most transcendent moment of my entire professional life was when I received a heart-wrenching response from a parent from one of my early pilot studies. She was so grateful, so happy. It was a simple exchange between us, but it sticks with me still."

The author has earned advanced degrees from Temple University and Southern Illinois University, and an Executive Education certification from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Chris Drew lives with his wife and daughter in Silicon Valley, where he and his family regularly immerse themselves in the natural wonders of California.
