About the Book

The Torah is one of the greatest gifts God ever gave to the world. Unfortunately, it is considered a Jewish book and too many Gentile religions don't see the relationship between Christianity and the Torah. This book contains a commentary on each of the 54 weekly readings of the one-year reading cycle for the Torah used in almost every synagogue in the world. My purpose is to honor God's word and demonstrate to Christians that the teachings of Yeshua (Jesus) are based on and from the Torah, as well as to show Jews that he didn't create a new religion, but confirmed the validity of the Torah.
About the Author: I was raised on Long Island, New York in a reform Jewish family. Although I did attend synagogue on a regular basis, I always felt there was something missing, like I was doing nothing more than just going through the motions. I attended Temple University in Philadelphia, where I received my Ba. in History. When I graduated I received my commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. I served for 3 1/2 years on active duty, as well as an additional year in the reserves. After leaving the Marine Corps I started the first of three careers. My first job was on Wall Street as a Securities Operations Specialist and I also attended night school to receive my MBA (Management) from Bernard M. Baruch College. In 1992, after an unsuccessful attempt to have my own business, I went through a bankruptcy during a high-risk pregnancy with our son. The marriage ended in divorce a year later ( I have two children, Alexandra and Bryce, both of whom have cut me out of their lives.) In order to remain close to home, I started a new career in Sales as a "Tin Man" (siding, window, and kitchen refacing sales) and I stayed in Sales, with different companies over the next 13 years or so, being promoted quickly to Sales Manager with nearly every company I worked for. In 1995 I was living in Northeast Philadelphia when I met my wife, Donna through a mutual friend. We have been married since 1998. In 2007 I received a small inheritance and used it to start my third career, as an IT Professional. I went to school full-time, received my A+ and MCSE certifications. I have since worked as a Help Desk Specialist and the Network Administrator for three different companies until my retirement at the end of 2016. It was in 1997 that I came to know my Messiah. Since then I have received a Certificate of Messianic Studies, been on the Council of a Messianic synagogue, where I acted as the Rabbi for 1 1/2 years while we were looking for a replacement Rabbi. In 2013 we moved to Melbourne, Florida and I joined a Hebraic Roots church. Within a year they asked me to sit on their Council, as well. I have been "blogging" my own ministry for over 6 years (Messianicmoment.com.) I am currently enjoying my retirement. I golf, go to the gym, ride my bike, am a volunteer with Wild Florida Rescue (we capture and bring wounded wildlife to a wildlife hospital) and continue to work on my ministry.
