Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2019 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Individuum, Gruppe, Gesellschaft, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Veranstaltung: Gesellschaftswissenschaften, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit behandelt die Thematik der relationalen Soziologie und geht der Frage nach, wie wichtig Beziehungen zu anderen Individuen sind und welcher Art und Weise diesen den Einzelnen beeinflussen. Ziel ist es, trotz der Zersplitterung der Disziplin in diesem Bereich der Soziologie Gemeinsamkeiten innerhalb der theoretischen Konzepte herauszuarbeiten sowie die Unterschiede und der daraus resultierenden Konsequenzen für das Verständnis eines Individuums zu kontrastieren. Im Hinblick auf die Forschungsfrage, inwiefern sich deutsche netzwerktheoretische Ansätze im Vergleich zu relationalen Theorien aus dem angloamerikanischen Raum im Hinblick auf die Handlungsfähigkeit eines Individuums unterscheiden, werden verschiedene Theoretiker der Disziplin herangezogen. Auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen spielen Netzwerke zwischen Individuen, aber auch in Organisationen und in ganz verschiedenen Phänomenen, eine Rolle. Bei der Frage danach, wie jemand zu einem Beruf gekommen oder eine Position im beruflichen Umfeld erlangt hat fällt nicht selten die Antwort: Vitamin B. Umgangssprachlich ist die Vorteilsnahme persönlicher Beziehungen bzw. Bekanntschaften zu potentiellen Vorgesetzten oder Kollegen bekannt. Doch nicht nur im beruflichen Kontext sind wir stark in Netzwerke eingebunden. Uns fällt es leicht in Netzwerken zu denken, unter anderem weil mittlerweile insbesondere "Online-Netzwerke" verantwortlich für viele Bereiche unseres Lebens sind. Der Partner kann über Dating-Plattformen wie Tinder gefunden werden, Kontakte zu alten Schulkameraden werden über Facebook gehalten, Plattformen wie Instagram dienen als Möglichkeit der Selbstdarstellung und selbst die Arbeitsstelle wird nicht selten über Plattformen wie beispielsweise Xing gefunden.
