Shane R. Blackledge is a pastor, public speaker, and the author of
From Prison To Purpose: Redeemed by God's Grace. A native of Iowa, Shane and his family now live in St. Louis, Missouri where he serves as the founding pastor of Cultivate Church. Alongside his wife, Amber, he is dedicated to loving God, loving people, making disciples, and helping believers find their purpose.
Sentenced to prison at the age of 17 for drug dealing, burglary, and assault, Shane spent years of incarceration in five different prisons. He encountered Jesus in his cell and his life has never been the same. He started A Plus Carpentry,
a handyman home restoration business upon release.
He received his GED, an associate degree and was on the dean's list at Hawkeye Community College. He went to Upper Iowa University for a Business Administration degree. He attended INSTE Global Bible College for a theological degree and is a licensed and credentialed pastor of Open Bible Churches.
Blackledge is also a Ministry Leader of Celebrate Recovery in a Missouri prison. Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step Christ-centered ministry focused on helping people overcome hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Blackledge has his own YouTube channel and produces a podcast called Kingdom Minded, which is available to stream on over a million tablets in the hands of incarcerated individuals across the United States. The podcast focuses on testimonies and biblical principles. Shane equips believers with practical tools to live victoriously through his podcasts, speaking engagements, and ministry work in prisons, jails, and treatment centers.
