Icarus is often used to persuade others to be humble, to keep your sights and your feet close to the ground. Do not reach too high, to not touch the sun, for your wings will burn and you will die.
I have always thought this to be such a timid way to live. -- There come times in our lives when we must reach to the heavens, for no other path will bring us to victory.
This collection is a linear documentation of my such choice. My choice to not only touch the sun but to tear it from its place in the sky in order to get what I so desired.
Doing so came with many burns, many scars, so many repercussions to my actions.
Yet I would do it again in a heartbeat.
There come times in our lives when we simply know what it is we want. Times where we know nothing less will suffice.
Many will tell you not to, keep your feet on the ground, not to reach your ambition so high that your wings melt and you fall.
This is for those that reject the non-believers. Those who know the only choice to choose is to touch the sun, to raise the stakes, to do anything and everything to get to what you desire.
This is my story of resolve and resilience.
For all those who face similar Hells and similar trials, I say to you,
Touch the sun.
