Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Sprachwissenschaft / Sprachforschung (fachübergreifend), Note: 1,3, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (Germanistisches Institut - Abteilung Didaktik der deutschen Sprache und Literatur), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "Ein Hauptgrund für abgelehnte Bewerbungen sind die mangelnden Rechtschreibkenntnisse der Schulabgänger." Das liest und hört man immer wieder und meistens lastet die Schuldzuweisung auf den Schultern der Lehrer. Keine Frage, "die Vermittlung von sicheren Rechtschreibfähigkeiten ist nach wie vor eine wichtige Aufgabe des Deutschunterrichts"1. Doch woher rühren all die Mängel? Sind wirklich nur die Lehrer schuld? Verunsichert nicht auch die Rechtschreibreform und die Reform der Reform Schüler, Lehrer und alle mit Sprache agierenden Wesen? Ist es die Didaktik, der die Lehrer die Schuld zuweisen können? Oder trägt die Sprache allein die Last? Kann es einen Weg geben dem Mangel ein Ende zu bereiten, einen Weg hinaus aus dem Dschungel deutscher Rechtschreibung? Sicher können all diese Fragen nicht beantwortet werden. Aber es lohnt sich allemal einen Blick auf dieses weite Feld der Orthographie und dessen Erwerb zu werfen. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie Kinder eigentlich rechtschreiben lernen und ob die vermittelten Regeln und das Wissen ausreichend sind, um erfolgreich schreiben zu können. Wenn die Rechtschreibkenntnisse der Schulabgänger bemängelt werden, so ist auch ein "Nachdenken über eine Optimierung des Schrifterwerbs höchst aktuell" und unbedingt notwendig. Als eines der wichtigsten und zugleich problematischsten Felder im Bereich des Orthographie-Erwerbs gilt die Groß- und Kleinschreibung (im Folgenden auch GKS). Bemerkenswert ist, "dass am Ende der Primarstufe ungefähr jeder vierte Orthographie-Fehler die GKS betrifft" . Allein schon aus diesem Grund scheint eine nähere Betrachtung und Erforschung dieses problematischen Feldes lohnenswert und sinnvoll.
