About the Book

Chapter 8Helen Reardon is the producer and director of the film, Going North, based on a novel, the best seller list for 16 months and who is considered to be one of the best directors in Hollywood, who already has two Academy Awards to whose credit and many hit motion pictures.Tom Nesson is a promising young actor, his most recent film, the western express was well received on the box office. Because his current popularity, who was chosen to play the leading male part in Going North film. The next days, Tom won't work in about 10 minutes later, who explained that the makeup people were show in getting his makeup on. No one questioned this, any who began where who had staff off yesterday. However, Helen dissatisfied Tom's performance to play his role action during this movie was carrying on.Hence, who had argued. In result, Helen enquired president in the studio executive offices to demand who either dismissed Tom Nesson, actor or dismissed who self. The studio executive did not want to lose either Helen, producer and director of film or Tom actor or both. Neither had a history of being difficult to work with. They were not sure what was causing the problem. This movie seemed to be causing all kinds of problems. e.g. strike and the disagreements between wardrobe and set design. They obviously needed to examine all of the circumstances involved to the making of the film. I supposed to use these communication networks to give reasons why causing problem between Helen and Tom. Communication occurs at several different levels and the communication that occurs among individuals or groups of individuals. This is referred to as interpersonal communication.Networks serve various purposes in organizations and which can used to regulate behaviour, promote innovation, integrate activities and inform and instruct group members. Network also differ in the extent to which who are centralized or decentralized. In centralized networks, all communications pass through a central point or points, so that each member of the network communicates with only a small number of others.Traditional organizational hierarchies, where subordinates communicate to their boss who are centralized networks and all units must communicate with a central headquarter, which then simultaneously coordinates all the units. In decentralized networks, many people or units can communicate with many others. However, wheel and Y networks are more effective in accomplishing simple tasks and these structures promote efficiency, speed and accuracy by channelling communication through a central person as well as the circle and all channel patterns networks are more effective for complex tasks and communication among all parties facilities the use of group resources to solve complex problems. As this case indicated that Tom won't work in about 10 minutes later, who explained that the makeup people were show in getting his makeup on. No one questioned this, any who began where who had staff off yesterday. Helen and Tom have encountered communication network difficulty. I shall suppose this film producing firm organisational structure is a traditional organizational hierarchies, where subordinates communicate to their department supervisor, e.g. marketing staffs who needed to communicate to marketing manager during who had any problems, then who needed to wait marketing manager to tell to the studio executive president to let him know, so who needed to spend much time to wait studio executive president( central contacting person) to help who to solve problems. Hence, it seemed this movie firm any department staffs who needed spend much time to wait their managers to tell whose problems to studio executive president to know to help them to solve, but who must need to wait whose managers had enough time to help them to deal their problems, then whose conflicts would be solved easily.
