Dieser Teil des Stelleninserates, der in dieser Arbeit als organisationale Selbstbeschreibung bezeichnet werden soll, stellt für Organisationen ein wichtiges Element dar, um dem Stelleninteressenten und der Öffentlichkeit ein Bild der Organisation zu vermitteln. Bei der Betrachtung der organisationalen Selbstbeschreibung stellt sich nun die Frage, auf welcher Grundlage die Organisationen ihr Selbstbild entwerfen. Die inhaltliche Ausrichtung der organisationalen Selbstbeschreibung in Stelleninseraten ist abhängig von der Wahrnehmung der Organisationsmitglieder bezüglich des Organisationssystems, in das sie eingebettet sind. Wie die Definition von "Organisation" im Soziologie-Lexikon schon bewusst macht, handelt es sich bei Organisationen nicht um ein soziales System, in dem Orientierungslosigkeit vorherrscht, sondern um eine "auf Dauer angelegte soziale Einheit mit institutionellen Regelungen, die das Verhalten der Beteiligten steuern, und mit spezifischen Zielen bzw. Aufgaben, die durch die Mitglieder realisiert werden sollen". Um den Organisationsmitgliedern eine Orientierungshilfe im Organisationssystem zu bieten, werden die wesentlichsten Ziele einer Organisation festgeschrieben. Die Entwicklung dieser Ziele basiert auf der Kultur einer Organisation bzw. den geteilten Grundannahmen, Werte und Normen, die sich durch die Interaktion der Organisationsmitglieder ergeben. Die Festlegung der Ziele und die Sichtbarmachung der grundlegenden Annahmen, Werte und Normen der Organisation geschehen mittels Formulierung von Unternehmensgrundsätzen.
