History, beliefs, faith, science, fiction. fantasy intersecting with morality, ethics, humour, satire and imagination. A journey of past, present, cause and effect leading to a dystopian future under the auspices of, Those Without Shadow, also known as Watchers, descendants of the fallen angels. A future which must be averted at all costs on pain of world domination by manipulation of time and key events in history. .

Book 1: Memento Mori: Latin ''Remember You Must Die.' Words spoken to victorious Roman Generals by slaves as they rode their chariots under Roman triumph. The purpose: To remind them they were mortal and not overstep their mark.

Ari Athanatos, protagonist, is a professor of History at NYU, is on his way to buy Babka bread, his attention is drawn to a letter from Alisea, an ex-student and lover. The letter's content is of such historical significance Ari loses focus and is struck by a bus. He finds himself in Heaven where he meets a man he presumes to be Jesus. After an enlightening conversation about faith, belief and the going's-on between Heaven and Earth, Jesus vanishes and implants a memory in Ari's mind. They are the three laws which govern universal being: 'The Orders Of Chaos'. Ari then finds himself in Heaven's 'processing room' where an old Rabbi appears by the name of Tevye. Having been told of the many trials and tribulations of the Jews by a cynical Tevye, Ari is once again alone. Suddenly 'Heavenly Editions' of 'Life' and 'Time' magazine appear whose covers reveal the truth behind earth changing events. As Ari is in awe reading, Tevye's voice re-emerges warning Ari to 'hold on' as he is to be dispatched back to earth, Tevye to be assigned his Heavenly guardian. Ari finds himself strewn across the sidewalk looking into the face of whom he perceives to be Tevye, he becomes hysterical. The Tevye look-alike informs Ari he in fact saved his life and happens to be Tevye's identical twin.

Ari's world changes, subtly at first. He visits his regular Irish bar, 'The Quiet Man'. Mara, a violinist, bursts into his life and introduces Ari to her circle of friends, three of which play Jazz at the bar. Ari meets Olga, a Russian born cellist virtuoso and Mara's dearest friend, he finds himself magnetically drawn to Olga and she to him. Mara introduces an eccentric billionaire, Geoffrey Mendelssohn, a collector of art, riches and people. His ancestor, 'The Sea Wolf' pirated the seas and kept company with a Madame Shih, an infamous pirate. Geoffrey inherited 'The Firm- Gnosis', a company established by his ancestors which advises corporations and governments upon investments and policies. Geoffrey has ulterior motives and is on a quest in search of ancient scrolls last seen before the fall of Constantinople, their whereabouts directly related to Alisea's letter. The scrolls are pivotal to defeating 'Those Without Shadow', their earthly puppet leader and protagonist Nathan Richter, head of the global tech giant GDI, Global Data Intelligence. The unfolding begins as Ari discovers we are all connected, as such, everything has to do with anything.
