One bullet fired from an assassin's rifle breaks open a unique window of opportunity for Donald Cargo. This once idealistic kid from the state of Washington, who grew up to be a senator, has become a dogmatic, power-wielding politician in Washington, DC-and is now the president of the United States. Reveling in his executive influence, his visions of grandeur blow out of proportion when news of a supreme court justice's assassination flies through the White House.
One of President Cargo's confidants is Max Ramm, a German-born opportunist with very deep pockets, sewn by billions in ill-gotten profits. Now one of the richest people in the world, Max is eager to bankroll the president's dream of transforming democracy into a dictatorship.
Power hungry enough to also consume into the United States both Mexico and Canada, President Cargo's ultimate plan is to rule over the United States of Northamerica.
One Bullet is a frightening portrait of power that explores its ability to corrupt a system and drive an individual to madness. This dialog-driven thriller is a suspenseful ride, with surprising twists and turns, and a biting view of politics that is both relevant and cautionary.
