A lot has happened since I first released "Once Life Matters: A New Beginning!" back in 2005. So far the book has been read by over 420,000 prisoners, 3000+ patients in drug rehabs and by hundreds of troubled celebrities. I've received thousands of letters from many of these readers and have included some of them at the end of this book.
The book has received very positive reviews in numerous publications and new doors were opened for personal interviews on numerous radio and television programs as well as in print and internet media.
God opened the doors in hundreds of jails and prisons for me to personally bring the Kingdom of God life-changing message of Christ's grace, mercy and love to people who have been cast aside by society and are being warehoused in institutions.
The simple message God has me share is that Jesus Christ forgives sin and will powerfully come to live within anyone who believes in His birth, death and resurrection and is willing to seriously repent (turn from sin) and call upon His name and ask Him into their life. Once that happens change then begins from within.
God has taught me over my 30+ years in ministry that the difference between Christianity and religion is that Jesus Christ, the living God of creation, actually does come to live within a believer in Him. He taught me that religion only gives a person a head knowledge of God and that nothing will change within a person with only knowing about God.
The difference Jesus Christ brings into a believer's life is that an actual change comes from within... with Him spiritually ruling and reigning as Lord, Savior, and King within a Christian's life. This has nothing to do with what is physically happening on the outside... but has everything to do with what Jesus Christ is spiritually doing on the inside. Religion gets us nowhere. Christ in us gets us everywhere!

Marty Angelo worked in the entertainment business from 1965 to 1980 as a television producer, record promoter, disk jockey, restaurant/nightclub owner and personal manager for rock 'n' roll bands. He received his first professional breaks from the late guitar legend Jimi Hendrix.
Though at times Angelo thought he achieved success, internally he always felt an emptiness in his heart, sensing his life had neither real meaning nor true purpose. Nothing ever seemed to matter to him. Therefore, he lived an out-of-control drunken and drugged rock 'n' roll lifestyle.
Angelo was arrested in 1980 for two counts of possession of cocaine. Through this life-shattering event, he experienced a new beginning, a dramatic and electrifying conversion to Christianity. This miracle happened in 1981 prior to serving two-and-a-half years in a federal prison.
Angelo's life finally began to matter and it took on a new meaning as he discovered God's true plan and purpose. He used his time wisely while incarcerated by graduating from four major Christian colleges.
Angelo helped many prisoners during his incarceration explaining to them that if God can change his life He can change anybody... including hardened convicts, drunkards, and drug addicts. Many followed his advice.
Marty was released from prison in 1984 and is living his life as an example to other ex-convicts and former drug addicts and alcoholics who want to serve God and be used by Him for His glory.
For more than 30 years, Angelo has worked with various ministries such as; The Fort Lauderdale Rescue Tabernacle (Faith Farm), Teen Challenge of Southern California, Chuck Colson's Prison Fellowship Ministries and The Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County.
