About the Author: Ruth and David are siblings who grew up in the Netherlands. Both were always interested in the stories, the cultures, and the traditions of the communities they visited. David is a humanitarian aid worker and has worked in places as Syria, the Gaza Strip, Thailand, Sri Lanka, the Sudan, Chechnya, and many more. He currently lives with his wife and three children in Jerusalem. Ruth has lived in Kenya and Panama, and now lives in Los Angeles with her film-maker husband and four kids.
