About the Author: Dean T. Olson is an award winning criminal investigator. He retired in 2008 after 30 years of law enforcement service. He earned a BS in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School, Center for Homeland Defense and Security in Monterey, CA. Mr. Olson is a graduate of the 193rd Session of the FBI National Academy and is adjunct professor of Criminal Justice for several Midwestern universities. He is the author of numerous articles on terrorism and law enforcement subjects published in various professional journals. His prior books include Perfect Enemy: The Law Enforcement Manual of Islamist Terrorism published in 2009 and Tactical Counterterrorism: The Law Enforcement Manual of Terrorism Prevention in 2012, both by Charles C.
