Along the way, Billu suffers the slings of a deeply discordant country, as well as the solace of women who take him in and minister to his spiritual wounds. About the Author: Jesse Hutson is a retired civil engineer, who worked in Copenhagen until 2011. Born in Guyana, he lived in Georgetown during the beginning of the political turmoil and experienced firsthand the chicanery and terror of the era, witnessing riots instigated by police and other events. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering from Birmingham University, England, and a master's of science degree from Toronto University, Canada. The author is married with two children. The Ol-Kai people: A story from the land of the six peoples is his first novel.
