About the Book

In the early period of the Western Zhou Dynasty, there was a beautiful princess called Daisy Fay in the Chao Lake area of the Chao state. She is so beautiful that people are proud to see the princess all over the ancient China. Every time the king of Chao state returned in triumph, he would command the princess to send refreshments to army with singing and dancing. In Huainan state, a scholar named Buli Jiang swore to defend his motherland and to assassinate Princess Daisy. But they fell in love with each other by mistake. However, the king and ministers of Chao state strongly opposed their love. They betrothed the princess to a prince of vicious beyond measure who is from the powerful Jiao state in the East. The king imprisoned Princess Daisy in the desolate Swan Island. Buli Jiang struggled to look for her. Finally, he met Princess Daisy in the help of the fishermen. However, the king with the warriors kept them apart again, and broke Buli Jiang's legs and expelled him to Huainan state. The king had Buli Jiang's mother murdered. Then Buli Jiang helped Dan Niu, the princess of Huainan state, rise in rebellion and took back the country. At this time, Li Niu, the princess of Huainan state, fell in love with Buli Jiang, while the General Feng Long fell in love with Princess Daisy also. Later, the Feng Long who had been defeated by Buli Jiang got the Chao state, but under the force of Dan Niu, he sent the fiancee Princess Daisy to Dan Niu as his wife. During the Dan Niu and Princess Daisy wedding night, Buli Jiang made a desperate attempt to pass through heavy siege with Princess Daisy. Eventually they fled to the mountains. But the king wanted to recover the lost country, he forced Buli Jiang to help him recapture the Chao state. Later, the king was captured to the Jiao state by Feng Long. But a few years later, the king of Chao escaped from Feng Long through innumerable hardships and went back before the wedding of Buli Jiang with Princess Daisy. The king played tricks on them and got the power, then he put Jiang away. Princess Daisy succeeded to escape on the mountain road as she is married to Jiao state. However, Jiang rolled down from the mountain on the road of searching and lost his memory. And after the Princess escaped, in accordance with the agreement with Jiang, she fled to the Swan Island waiting for him. But she waited for 50 years until they are separated by life and death. After waking up, Jiang who lost his memory picked up the beauty fluting portrait which Jiang painted for Princess Daisy. This portrait was lost by Princess Daisy during escaping. He felt that his whole life seems to be looking for her. He wandered and sought. He adopted 10 daughters on his wanderings. For decades, he finally came to the foot of the Siding Mountain. He decided to stay and soon he died. His ten daughters continued to look for the beauty in the portrait. Finally, they found the Princess Daisy on Swan Island in the help of the fishermen.
